I’m sure you already know about this. It was shown over and over on TV, right?

OK, so maybe it wasn’t shown over and over, but surely it was shown on TV at least one time, wasn’t it?

This was the largest re-enlistment ceremony ever held in military history. The ceremony was held on the 4th of July, 2008 at Al Faw Palace, Baghdad , Iraq . General David Petraeus officiated. This amazing story was ignored by the ‘mainstream’ media.

For those who have been in the Al Faw Palace, you’ll have a better appreciation of the number of people crammed around the rotunda supporting the re-enlisting soldiers.

American men and women volunteering to stay longer in Iraq, so that when we leave, the new democracy will have a chance of surviving, is the exact opposite of what the media wants you to think about Iraq. If only a bomb had killed 5 civilians in a marketplace - now that’s the kind of news the media is eager to tell you about.

A pizzeria in Chicago donated 2000 pizzas that were made and shipped to Baghdad , and were delivered on the 4th.

The media did report that 2000 pizzas were sent to Iraq on July 4th… The only part they left out of the report was the event for which the pizzas were sent.

I can’t help but wonder…

What would the opinion of Americans be if they weren’t getting such obviously biased ‘news?’

But McCain actually pays his female Senate staff more than the males:
McCain's 17 male staffers split $916,914, thus averaging $53,936. His 25 female employees divided $1,396,958 and averaged $55,878.
*Among his top-5 best-compensated staffers, 3 are women. Of his 20-highest-salaried employees, 13 are women.

So let's summarize.

Throwing In The Towel

Since they didn’t know anything about her (Sarah Palin), they started making things up. Anything that fit the caricature of a right-wing hypocrite was thrown up with, seemingly, no fact-checking.

They said she opposes contraception, when she said in a campaign debate that she is pro-contraception. They said she cut funding for pregnant teens, when she provided a massive funding hike.

They accused her of cutting funding for mentally disabled children, when she raised it 175 percent over the former administration. She was said to have been a member of the wacky Alaska Independence Party; The New York Times had to run a retraction.

Like Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Palin has been deemed one of the GOP’s rising stars. Since it’s national reporters job to cover American politics, their ignorance of about her is distressing.

She has continued to use this line on the campaign trail, and its become associated with her by most news outlets and both campaigns.
At a rally in Virginia on Monday, Obama happened to say with a smirk;
"You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig."

I see a pattern here...
At every major step forward in Obama's political career -- becoming an Illinois state senator and a United States senator -- he has advanced NOT by winning a vote against a tough opponent, but by default, after those tough opponents were FORCED off the ballot. Obama's tactics have been to send in his lawyers, with a flurry of subpoenas and lawsuits, to force all the other candidates off the primary ballots, basically clearing the decks for essentially unopposed elections everytime.

"Why say you're for a new tomorrow, then do old-style Chicago politics to remove legitimate candidates?" Askia said. Bill Kristol was telling a story that a McCain staffer had shared with him. The McCain staffer had talked to Sarah Palin and had warned her of the intense scrutiny that she would be under. The McCain staffer told her to expect them to really come after her, no-holds-barred. She thanked the McCain staffer for the advice and then asked this question:
